The announcement was first made via the brand’s official Weibo handle, Xiaomi TV. The message doesn’t reveal much beyond the G-SYNC mention, sadly, nor does it actually confirm if said TV would actually be its Big Format Gaming Displays (BFGD) that the brand said it would make some time ago. However, the posting did seem to promise a TV with lower latency and a more stunning visual experience.
If the new Mi OLED TV happens to be a BFGD, though, then Xiaomi will also have to ensure that its new product offers at least a 75Hz refresh rate or higher, wide colour gamut, low input lag, and Ultra Low Motion Blur (ULMB) support, bare minimum.
