Now, we’ve got some updates. In an interview with MTV International, Vin Diesel had this to say: While the updates aren’t major, I’m still genuinely excited to see the film come through. Not because I’m a mega-fan of the franchise or anything like that, but because of the writers involved. Nicole Perlman co-wrote the script of Guardians of the Galaxy with James Gunn. Apart from that, she also provided story ideas for Captain Marvel and worked on the screenplay of the pretty funny Pokemon: Detective Pikachu. Geneva Robertson-Dworet is also one of the co-writers of Captain Marvel and also penned the script for the Alicia Vikander Tomb Raider movie. The most exciting of the writers is Lindsey Beer who wrote Sierra Burgess Is a Loser and is one of the screenwriters of Doug Liman’s upcoming Sci-Fi film starring Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley, Chaos Walking. Fast & Furious 9 hits Malaysian cinemas this 21 May 2020.
