Even then, the company’s offering which is called Sirius TV was supposed to have its soft launch way back in June. Instead, the service will only be available this coming November.
Nevertheless, Sirius TV’s launch package looked rather interesting though as the company is offering 12 months subscription for free in exchange for a one-time fee of RM 299. However, this package will only be available for consumers until May 2020, assuming that the service on schedule. According to a recent interview with Utusan, CEO of Smart Digital International, Khairuddin Abdul Rahman, stated that the normal subscription fee for Sirius TV will be as low as RM 20 per month. He also mentioned that the company is planning to offer an annual subscription plan for RM 200.
With an initial content lineup of 30 channels, customers apparently will not be tied to any periodical contract. For those who are interested to sign up for Sirius TV, you apparently able to register right now although the process involves manual bank-in method which seemed rather sketchy. Given that there’s also barely any information on its Facebook page, we do recommend you to wait for more information to be released by Smart Digital International before proceeding further. You know, just to be on the safer side of things. (Source: Sirius TV – 1, 2. // Utusan (article screenshot). Additional image: Digital Terrestrial TV Malaysia Facebook Group.)
