Prominent leaker Ice Universe posted the name and an accompanying graphic in Twitter. Of course, there’s no way of knowing if this is really the case. If it is, it makes for an interesting naming convention. To be fair, the Z line isn’t exactly new for Samsung. As Engadget points out, the company once used the letter to represent its phones running Tizen OS. But to be fair, the phone back then was simply called the Samsung Z, rather than the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip. It was also first announced nearly six years ago, so this shouldn’t be taken to mean that the upcoming phone will have anything to do with that operating system.

At least there are no new leaks refuting the phone’s possible specs. For now, the phone is believed to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset and a 10MP front-facing camera. The phone is also expected to be officially unveiled during the first Samsung Unpacked event of the year.
