According to the trappings of serial leakster, Jon Prosser (@jon_prosser), Samsung is planning on hosting an Unpacked event for the Galaxy Note 20 on 5 August, while availability of the phone will supposedly be set for 20 August. Note that we did not say local availability; given Samsung’s trend of hosting a global announcement of its phones, the actual availability is always different between regions.

Event August 5th – my source (corroborating @UniverseIce) Note 20Fold 2ZFlip 5G Devices will launch on August 20th — Jon Prosser (@jon_prosser) June 9, 2020 In addition to the potential launch date, a tweet from yet another popular leakster, Ice universe (@UniverseIce), suggests that the Note 20 will be Samsung’s first flagship device in years to feature a flat display. Instead of the curved display currently in use with the Galaxy Note10 series and, to a certain extent, the current Galaxy S20 series. There’s also another rumour that suggests Samsung could be getting rid of the 100x zoom feature of the Galaxy S20 Ultra; a feature that many in the tech world have described as overkill for an underwhelming main camera.

— Ice universe (@UniverseIce) June 9, 2020 In any case, these are still merely hearsay and gossip, so take them with a large grain of salt. At least until the alleged 5 August Unpacked event. (Source: Forbes, Tom’s Guide, Mashable, Twitter [1] [2])
