Hints of a 5G-capable Galaxy Note 10 was first discovered in a kernel source code. Analyzed by a member of XDA, who found the codename “davinci”. For those of you who are unaware, “davinci” is an internal codename used by Samsung as reference to the Galaxy Note 10. Specifically, the kernel source code lists down the codename as “davinci5G”, which is likely a reference to the phone in question. Additional information regarding the phone is scarce beyond this point. While the Galaxy Note 10 will definitely be sporting an S-Pen, it’s possible that the phone could ship out with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 or Exynos 8920 chipset at launch. That is, unless Qualcomm doesn’t release the successor to the Snapdragon 855 before that. In any case, it’s still a bit early in the year for Samsung to be talking about its successor to the Galaxy Note 9.
