Specifically, a report by Techspot points to a Windows 10 SDK entitled “Windows Lite”, and that the purported revamped OS features a more streamlined design. As you can see from the image below, it also looks like Microsoft may be ditching the Live Tiles design. That has been a staple in the OS’ ecosystem since the release of Windows 8. If this leaked image is to be believe, then Microsoft’s reason for omitting the Live Tiles can be boiled down to two reasons. Firstly, it’s clear that the majority of its consumer base rarely use or utilise the feature. The second reason could also be attributed to better and improved system efficiency; the new layout suggests that the new OS will consume less resources. Therefore making it more suitable for computer systems running on the current less-than-average PC requirements.
Beyond that, there’s still not a whole lot of information about Windows’ upcoming lite version of its popular OS. If anything, one we can say for certain is that the new design does look a lot more vibrant when compared with the contrastingly darker tones of the current Windows 10. (Source: Techspot)
