Specifically, The Wireless GO is a pair of Receiver/Transmitter (RX/TX) modules approximately the size of half a deck of cards. While other manufacturers need an external microphone with the RX module, the microphone of the Wireless GO is self-contained. The internal omnidirectional condenser microphone picks up audio when clipped onto the subject, or users can still connect a lavalier microphone via the on-board 3.5mm TRS jack. The TX unit meanwhile can live on the hotshoe or clipped anywhere else on the camera body thanks to its small size. Both units measure in at 44mm x 45mm x 18.5mm and weigh in at 31g. Using Rode’s new Series III Digital 2.4GHz transmission technology, it can work within a maximum distance of 70m, within line of sight. THe LiPo battery is rated for seven hours on a full charge, and is rechargeable via USB-C. In fact, the same port can power the modules directly if the shoot goes over 7 hours long. In the box, you will get the modules, two fur windshields, one pouch, one USB-A to USB-C cable, and one SC2 cable. The kit will cost US$199 (~RM 817) when it goes to market sometime next week.
