The Kaira X is equipped with the brand’s 50mm TriForce drivers – the same ones powering the Razer Blackshark V2 and Kraken V3 X, which are designed to focus all three portions of the audible frequency spectrum. Like its siblings, the new headset also features breathable Flowknit memory foam ear cushions that minimises sweat and heat build-up, while greatly reducing the clamping force for a snug and comfortable fit when used. Situated on the rear left-hand side of the device are controls for adjusting volume and muting its built-in microphone. Speaking of which, featured on the headset is a bendable cardioid microphone that also comes with noise suppression capability. Rather than using a USB connection, the Kaira X relies on a 3.5mm plug so that it can be connected directly to the PlayStation 5’s Dualsense controller or the new Xbox Wireless Controller. Being a wired headset also means that Kaira X does not feature a built-in battery, and could also be used with other compatible 3.5mm jack-equipped devices. Razer markets the new Kaira X headset to be available in PlayStation and Xbox variants, although the only differences between the two are their colour options rather than hardware-based. The PlayStation version comes in a PS5-like white with black and blue colour accents, while the Xbox version is available in five different colourways: Black, White, Blue, Red, and Lime.
