A new teaser for Sang-Ho Yeon’s Train to Busan sequel, Peninsula, just dropped and it offers a whole lot of heart-pumping zombie gnashing! Taking place four years after the first film, Peninsula centres around a new group of characters, one of whom is a soldier who has managed to escape from the clutches of bloodthirsty zombies in South Korea. However, he gets back into the battlefield once again to retrieve something valuable but meets some non-infected survivors along the way. And that’s where things get complicated for the dude.
I don’t know about you but the trailer looks bloody fun! It certainly has a bigger scope than the claustrophobic constraints of a railroad. It is a vast sandbox for the zombies this time around. I mean, they literally could start their own football league, organise Z-Pop concerts, and board aeroplanes if they get bored of trains. Meanwhile, the human society looks to be on a downward spiral, devolving into a medieval state with gladiatorial bouts/zombie punishments as lessons for those who do not follow the ‘laws’? Interesting, indeed. Action-wise, looks like we’re in for an explosive outing! Those undead creatures seem to be even more ravenous for fresh meat, so, yeah, the survivors better hold on their butts to prevent them from getting chewed off. You can check out the teaser trailer below: There has been no information so far as to when the zombie flick will hit the Malaysian peninsula (and Sabah and Sarawak). So, stay tuned for more updates!
