According to Digital Chat Station, the new series will consist of three variants. Two of which, believed to be the standard variant and the top-of-the-line offering, are visibly present in one of the images provided by the tipster. Prior to this, OPPO revealed that the latest series of its smartwatch will be equipped with the newly launched Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset for wearables, though it is uncertain whether all three variants will feature it. Based on the aforementioned image, it appears that the standard model will sport a more familiar smartwatch design, which comes with a rounded square display, metal casing, and a single button on its right-hand side. The high-end version, on the other hand, is shown to feature a larger, curved screen – a design that OPPO indirectly corroborated via a Weibo posting not long after the tipster’s leak was published. It is also shown to have a rotating crown and a touch-based button on its right. The images provided further suggest that all three variants will feature leather or silicon options for its straps, which may likely be interchangeable. In terms of specs, Digital Chat Station claims that the OPPO Watch3 series would be equipped with a LTPO display panel, Apollo 4 Plus co-processor, temperature monitoring capability, and a standard ECG sensor. Unfortunately, other details such as other built-in trackers/sensors, battery capacity and software-based features are not known at this time. The new OPPO Watch3 series is slated to debut in China next Wednesday, on 10 August 2022 at 7pm. As usual, expect further information regarding the watches, such as their respective specifications, features, pricing and availability, will be provided by the brand by then.
