The new model is essentially the first output that involved OPPO’s three-year collaboration with Hasselblad. In addition to having a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, the Find X5 Pro is also the first model to carry MariSilicon X which is a dedicated imaging chip developed in-house by the Chinese company.
The 6nm chip contains a neural processing unit and image signal processor as well as its own DDR memory subsystem. According to OPPO, the MariSilicon X helps Find X5 Pro to deliver real-time RAW processing alongside improved dynamic range night-time capture for both still images and videos as well as noise reduction capability when compared to previous Find X models. Speaking about the camera, the main camera on Find X5 Pro is equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor, an f/1.76 lens, and a 5-axis dual optical image stabilisation system. The rear camera module also contains another 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor for the phone’s ultra-wide camera which is being paired with a f/2.2 lens and supports macro photography for distances as close as 4cm.
The module also has a 13MP telephoto camera that can deliver 5x hybrid optical zoom and 20x digital zoom capabilities. Not to forget, there is also a 32MP f/2.4 selfie camera on the top left corner of the phone’s 6.7-inch QHD+ 120Hz AMOLED screen which also has curved edges, an in-screen fingerprint sensor and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. Powering IP68-rated Find X5 Pro is a pair of batteries that provide it with a total of 5000mAh battery capacity. Being an OPPO device, the phone also supports the company’s SuperVOOC technology which goes as high as 80W with a wired SuperVOOC charger or 50W when charged through the AirVOOC wireless charger.
Available in two colourways including Ceramic White and Glaze Black, the Find X5 Pro which comes standard with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS3.1 internal storage is priced at RM4,999. Pre-orders for the new flagship model are now open and will last until 27 May while its general rollout into the Malaysian market will take place on 28 May. OPPO has prepped up several types of freebies for the early adopters of Find X5 Pro although this depends on how you choose to purchase it. For example, pre-order customers will receive the equally new Enco X2 true wireless earbuds and a Kevlar-based phone case alongside their new Find X5 Pro.
Additionally, they are also going to get the OPPO Care screen protection and extended warranty scheme for one year as well as RM100 TNG eWallet credit. If the pre-order was done through OPPO Malaysia eStore or its official Lazada and Shopee stores, customers will also receive an RM100 voucher. For those who prefer to get their hands on the Find X5 Pro on 28 May itself, they will also be provided with the Enco X2 earbuds. Customers that choose to purchase the phone at OPPO Brand Store on the said release day will also receive the 50W AirVOOC wireless charger in addition to the Kevlar phone case that we have mentioned earlier.
