Android Police reports that some of the OnePlus 7 Pro phones have been registering phantom taps on its display. Leaving the phone idle with certain apps running will see the phone registering a touch on random locations on screen. It’s not an issue that every OnePlus 7 Pro owner faces, based on the OnePlus forums. It also appeears that OnePlus is aware of the problem, among others listed in its forums. The company is currently trying to reproduce and fix this, but provided no timeline as to when it will happen. If you’re an owner of a OnePlus 7 Pro, and have been facing issues with typing mistakes when sending text messages, you may be experiencing phantom taps yourself. It seems to be most frequently reproduced using CPU-Z, so you may want to download the app and test if it is indeed the case. (Source: OnePlus [1], [2] via Android Police)
