According to an “exclusive leak” tweeted by Ishan Agarwal (@IshanAgarwal24), it appears that the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition will cost 699 Euros (~RM3329) in most European countries, and 709 Euros (RM3369) in others. This sort of pricing for a premium flagship smartphone isn’t all that uncommon; Samsung’s base variant of the Galaxy Note 9 retails for RM3699, while standard Huawei Mate 20 has an SRP of RM3199. All factors considered, it really wouldn’t surprise us if the phone will cost about the same or more when it finally arrives in Malaysia.

Other differences include 10GB RAM (versus the 6GB and 8GB in the original), and the obvious McLaren skin design for the phone. In any case, we’ll just have to wait another hour and a half to see if the leaked price is true. Update (12 December 2018): Looks like the rumours are true. As per its official announcement, the phone indeed costs 699 Euros (~RM3329), and is covered with a special Carbon Fibre back cover design, courtesy of McLaren. On another note, the Warp Charge has been revealed to be a fast charger with an output of 30W; far higher than the standard fast chargers on the current market. Also, the phone does come with 10GB RAM, and the OS comes pre-installed with a custom McLaren theme and set of wallpapers. Besides those minor increments, everything else about the phone is a status quo.
