Microsoft says that the panel will be available to companies and organisations with either a floor supported wall mount, a floating wall mount, or on a mobile cart. In terms of the internal hardware powering the 85-inch digital whiteboard, Microsoft was not clear on the issue. That said, if the new display is merely just a literal bump up in size, it’s possible that the machine is housing near identical specs with its 50-inch sibling. That includes the same 8th generation Intel Core i5 CPU, 8GB RAM, and 128GB SSD. The main difference between the two – internally, at least – is that customers will now be allowed to choose to run either Windows 10 Pro or Enterprise.
Additionally, Microsoft says that, while the display size measures in at 85-inch, the screen itself has been fitted into a chassis that is 20% thinner and 30% lighter than its predecessor. Even the bezels have been trimmed down by as much as 45%. Microsoft says that it will begin shipping out the 85-inch Surface Hub 2S in January 2021 and will retail for an eye-watering US$22000 (~RM91520).
