However, yesterday, things got really peculiar. Zack Snyder and a large chunk of the Justice League cast, including the leads, took to social media and petitioned to Warner Bros to #ReleaseTheSnyderCut, so much so that the hashtag started trending. Here are some of the tweets.

— Ben Affleck (@BenAffleck) November 17, 2019 The tweets looked so coordinated that many of us figured it was a marketing stunt of sorts. Maybe there really is a Snyder Cut of Justice League and maybe we were going to get it — on HBO Max perhaps? However, this does not appear to be the case. Per THR: Despite the groundswell and speculation that a Snyder Cut could go to Warner Bros.’ upcoming streaming service HBO Max, insiders tell The Hollywood Reporter no announcement of a release of any such cut is imminent.
I guess it could all just be one big elaborate ruse by Warner Bros and they’ll drop a huge bomb on us really soon. But if you ask me, I think it’s about damn time fans let Justice League go and move on. With recent box office and critical hits like Joker and Aquaman as well as exciting films like Wonder Woman 1984, Matt Reeves’ The Batman and James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad around the horizon, things are looking better than ever for Warner Bros/DC.
