According to a recent post on its Facebook page, the local retailer has listed the Series X to be priced at RM2,199. The Series S, on the other hand, will retail at RM1,499. Not too far off from the recently revealed pricing for Singapore. For a quick refresher, the Xbox Series X and Series S both feature an AMD Zen 2 processor and RDNA 2 GPU, as well as GDDR6 RAM, and a PCIe Gen 4 NVME SSD. The differences being that the former will feature faster clock speeds in terms of standard and graphics processing, a higher RAM capacity, larger SSD, up to 4K support, and includes a Blu-ray drive. The latter supports digital-only content due to the lack of an optical disc drive and supports up to 1440p resolution.
Impulse Gaming lists both Xbox models to be available on 10 November, similar to the US (if not a day earlier). It added that Malaysian pre-orders will only open once allocation for the duo has been confirmed. Meanwhile in the other camp, Sony recently revealed that it will be hosting a PlayStation 5 showcase later on 16 September 2020. Fingers-crossed that we’ll be seeing some exciting news about its upcoming console soon enough. (Source / Images: Impulse Gaming [Facebook])
