Yu had previously said the same to members of the French media at the tail end of last year. Back then, only the month of March was mentioned, rather than the specific date of 26. It was also announced at the time that the phone will feature the company’s own HMS. This is still the case, as nothing changed in the situation between the company and the US. Prior to the announcement, rumours of the Huawei P40 and P40 Pro have already made their way online. One involves the phones having a 10x optical zoom, but with only the Pro variant getting the periscope camera.
The Huawei P40 and P40 Pro were also thought to come with graphene batteries at some point. At least, that was what the Huawei France Twitter account posted before it was removed. While one is more likely than the other, it remains to be seen whether this was something that was not meant to be shared, to if the information is not accurate to begin with. At any rate, we now know when the Huawei P40 and P40 Pro will be officially announced. As with their predecessors the P30 and P30 Pro, their announcement will take place at an event in Paris, France. That’s when the company will reveal everything else about the phones. (Source: CNET)
