Similar to the Ready Player One Oasis movie concept, players in Horizon can design their own avatars and travel between different virtual places through portals called Telepods. When things happen on the Internet, from time to time you will be encountering with trolls. For users who still aren’t clear about Horizon’s guidelines, Facebook will layout the world’s safety on its “Citizenship” page where it explains that it is everyone’s responsibility to create a culture that is respectful and comfortable.
In a case of harassment, players also have the option to mute, block and report the person. However, players can also jump into their own private space in Horizon when things get out of control by pressing a shield button. Additionally, there is also be customer supports called Horizon Locals to assists users with technical or safety issues. Horizon Locals will be roaming around the VR landscapes to monitor the world and users’ safety.
