Now, thanks to a leaked benchmark screenshot, it looks like ASUS has plans on creating new notebooks, possibly for both series. Incorporating both AMD’s “Picasso” CPUs – the codename for AMD’s Ryzen 3000 series CPU – and NVIDIA’s Turing-based discrete GPUs. The leaked image was posted by APISAK (@TUM_APISAK), a Twitter user based in Thailand. According to APISAK’s tweet, ASUS supposedly has no less than three gaming notebooks in the pipelines already under the serial codes FX505DU, GU502DU, and GU502DV. https://twitter.com/TUM_APISAK/status/1110007385165193216 The information and statistics shown in the benchmark image lists down two AMD Ryzen 3000 series CPUs. Specifically, a Ryzen 5 3550H and Ryzen 7 3750H. Both featuring a Radeon Vega Mobile integrated GPU. In the GPU section, you can see that the variant with the Ryzen 5 CPU is paired with an NVIDIA’s Turing-based GeForce GTX 1660 Ti. While the Ryzen 7 CPU is coupled with a Max-Q version of the same GPU. What is interesting to note here is that in APISAK’s tweet, he specifies the GU502DV as the only variant to be powered by a GeForce RTX 2060. Although, the tweet does not specify which Ryzen CPU the model it’s being paired with.
AMD’s next-generation Ryzen 3000 series CPU isn’t expected to be made official for a few more months, and ASUS has not released any official statement pertaining to these notebooks.
